As the technology arm of Blackmar Consulting, Blackmar Technologies builds custom technology solutions for financial services companies. After seeing how many modern financial institutions were still relying on Excel, manual data entry, and outdated systems, the Blackmar leadership team decided it was time to bring their clients into the 21st century. Blackmar Technologies has offices in Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco.

Problem

When the Blackmar team approached us, they were in the process of spinning off their technology division into a separate entity. They needed a new identity system that felt distinct and startup-minded—something that would appeal to top engineering talent—while still reflecting the credibility of the established Blackmar Consulting brand. They also needed a fresh set of investor-facing collateral to support their upcoming fundraising efforts.

Solutions

After working closely with the Blackmar Technologies team to understand their needs, we retained key themes from their existing identity while introducing new elements to set the brand apart. This approach allowed us to maintain continuity with the established Blackmar brand while giving the technology division its own distinct look.
